“At Conti, we believe we can achieve”

The PS5 PTA is a member of the National PTA and 501(c)3 charitable organization. Our purpose is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families, teachers, administrators and communities to advocate for all children.

The PTA fundraises during the year to provide enrichment programs for ALL children at PS5. Some of those programs include: an in-school theater and dance program, week of the young child assemblies, school assemblies, multicultural celebrations, air conditioners, school carnival, honor students awards, graduation awards, teacher support, scholarships for 8th grade trip and after school enrichment, and family support.

• promote the welfare of children and youth in school and community

• host fundraisers, coordinate volunteers

• support and facilitate after school programs

• support and encourage our teachers and administration

• and bring parents and teachers closer together to support and empower children’s education
